I grew up in northern NJ. My childhood was bmx, comic books and video games. It was
the best times ever.
I always wanted to be an actor but when I rented Reservoir Dogs from Blockbuster Video
back in 93’ I knew what kind of an actor I wanted to be. A good one.
I met a couple of actors after I graduated HS and was fascinated by them. They were
different than regular people and I wanted to be like them. I asked them where I could
study acting and one of them recommended The Neighborhood Playhouse. I contacted
the playhouse and this lady asked me over the phone if I had ten thousand dollars. I said
no and she hung up on me. But luckily for me I met Phil Gushee who taught alongside
Sanford Meisner for decades. I studied Meisner with Phil and completed the two year
program and then studied with him for one more year up until his passing. It was the most
creative period for me as an actor and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I started out doing theater and quickly realized I’m a film actor after doing my first film
somewhere in Jersey. That’s just fine with me because I love movies. And I love making
them.
After acting for a number of years I began writing and creating my own work. I’ve
written over seventy monologues and wrote, produced and starring in a short film called
‘The Office Party’, which premiered at the Paramount Theater in Asbury Park, NJ as an
official selection of the Garden State Film Festival.
But my next film ‘Jigsaw’ would be my greatest role to date. Eight years of Catholic
school was just preparation for the role of John Lancaster. I adapted part of bestselling
author Robert McCammon’s short story ‘Blue World’ to make ‘Jigsaw’. Jigsaw is the
story of a young priest who struggles to complete a jigsaw puzzle amidst his obsession
with a beautiful porn star and a controlling monsignor. Jigsaw was an official selection
of the Action On Film Megafest 2019 in Las Vegas and was nominated for Best Drama.
Believe it.
